About

I hold a PhD in English, and am currently studying for a professional doctorate in Education with the Open University’s Institute for Educational Technology.

I use this blog to explore ideas for my research, to conduct an informal literature review, to reflect on my own learning and teaching, and to convince my supervisor that I’m working very hard and not lying on a sofa munching Dorritos and watching TV.

Feel free to comment (they all come to me first, so won’t be published automatically), but try not to be a psychopath.

Hi Michael, great idea, not sure if it would fit my learning style, but will follow your development and might then reconsider….enjoy Nelleke

Warm thanks. I’ve realised that one of the main reasons I’m doing this is to evidence to my supervisor that my work is ongoing. A more telling examination will be if I can cut and paste work from here for the next Progress Report.

I think we may have been sitting next to each other in the workshop on writing up interviews on the Sunday. That was the best workshop for me, as it showed how nuances of meaning are created by the method chosen for transcribing.

      Enjoy the journey.
